The Assistant

This is one of three paintings that were done together. My concept for it was a good idea but didn’t play out the way I’d hoped. So Marlin is here alone on his stool. Being a typical feline, he not only loves to watch and get in my way, but he loves to help. He was instrumental in helping with the color palette, but a bit critical about the fact that one of his eyes was a little off.

A photographer and you are a painter, too! You are a woman of many talents! [Tell Marlin that I didn’t even notice the eye until he brought it up. LOL!]

Hi Patricia, Yep I do paint, actually I started doing more photography so that I would have more ideas for paintings. I just don’t have enough time to paint. And it is what I love the most. I will indeed tell Marlin, he is very picky that way. Thanks so much for the comment. xoxoxo

    Elizabeth,
A great character to develop. Are you familiar with the Cajun Blue dog by George Rodrigue? I love the eyes, the background design, and the shadow off the stool. I love cats too. Good solid work.
