Moment of Sun
Acrylic painting. This painting was inspired by the lake that we visit in Northern California. The trees are so thick and there are layers and layers. I would love to work on more like this and get a better feel for the trees, but for now I enjoyed finding a way to show the beautiful pines as the caught a Moment of Sun.

Thank you Solomon, so much for all of your kind comments. I appreciate it more than you could know. I love your take on this, a dream melody, I guess I do like everything to have that kind of quality about it. Nice to hear from you!!

The lighting is fabulous on this Elizabeth, I also love the layers of color and your choice of vertical display when painting!

This has many many points …many meanings.
On the same spot, dear Elizabeth. The first plane seems to be underwater..
then there is anogher layer of ground, firm and dry… and then, the lake has turned into a sort of river. Somehow….I would say that it reflects much of the moment ot the soul. The need for covering for nurturing emotions. The need for organizing our energies in different layers of usefulness or importance.. (not with triviality but with efficiency)...The rich horizon, full of light. May be one feels confident about having anough richness for the future…And the light coming like a spiritual goal, that we do not really know if it is coming from heaven, like trying to kidnapp us… or may be it is our own strength and soul that is rooting up there…in order to be “complete”
I like it very much… a perfect complement to the other one… I see … the other one as a close view of this.
Have a hug, Elizabeth!!
