I have always loved photography, but it was a means to an end. I wanted ideas for painting. This painting really came from a deep instinct. It was the first time that I just let it happen as I went along. The color seemed to take shape in the back ground and soon I notice that it looked like spirits. Were they guiding me? The flowers with the long stems look like people…hoovering and watching the viewer intently..and then the blue auras in the background do kinda look like spirits…and then the delicate little daisies in the front. you really captured a freeness in this painting. love it.

Mi pick Elizabeth…..the elongated lines convey the grace of this piece very well – color and light just subdued give it a soft look – and I like the touch of the flowers at the bottom to provide a delicate play – nice work!

Then, dear Elizabeth, you are lucky.. for you have much more than one spiritguide. I was wondering last night…was feeling quite “depleted”, like one is a bit or most “tired of oneself”.. and then I closed my eyes and asked….”where are you… my spirit guide?”.... conversations…no way here.. sharing..no way..just listening.In your case, contemplating the way that the flowers literally “jump” to the heaven, like outbursts of vibrancy and a wish and love for color.
There is something of melacholy here too…like a watery presence, one would not know if these plants are in the water or sharing the air and sun.

Rosa, I am so sorry to have missed this wonderful comment. I was just thinking about the newest painting that I just posted and realized that even that was guided. I started off in one direction and had a lot of trouble finding my path…...the road. It was a dark storm to start and as I progressed the light came out and started to shine. I guess it wasn’t meant to be dark. Just in the far distance. You are so insightful, and I appreciate your words so much.
