( Oil on 30’’by40’’canvas ) Rue, the little girl in the novel ’ The Hunger Games ’ ,who died when she saved Katness Everdean’s life, is the inspiration behind my painting. ’ Rue’s Avatar ’ is how I see Rue, had she lived to become a young woman. I wanted to give her the combined look of a gentle spirit with fierce suvival skills.
