Reflections in the Wall by elisab
Clear

The Viet Nam wall in Washington DC has the name of every man and woman who died in the war. I found the name of the soldier that I graduated high school with. And when I turned around I saw the reflections of all who were there to remember these young men and women who were families, friends and spouses to them. Some were also the “brothers” to them, served with them and came home.

    Nicely captured!

  • There was so much to see, and so little time to do it in. I will always remember the day I spent in DC.

Well done! A good shot and point of view. The rain makes this rembrance all the more poignant. Beautiful touch with the yellow slicker.

  • Thank you Jan. THe rain certainly helped with the reflections, and the colorful clothing worn by the onlookers helped too.

Beautiful Elisa…. that wall is great for reflections…. and also overwhelming to see all of those names!

  • Thanks Lori, it certainly was a day to remember spending Veterans Day at the Wall with the Viet Nam veterans. The memories of the veterans who passed hung heavily in the air.

Elisa, I don’t know how I missed this image … so beautifully captured … very creative angle and perfect point counterpoint with the person in the yellow and yellow umbrella and their reflection. You couldn’t have staged it better, sweetie. Very professional, very well done!!!
