great work.
I really really really hope he gets into office, I truly believe that the world could start to heal a bit if that could happen.
Time for change indeed!
We had a change here in Australia last year, after YEARS of a dreadful leader, we got a bearable one!
It’s a good feeling not to hate the man in charge!
Angelique Mose... replied
exactly. that has been a definite problem here for the past eight years. we do not like our leader, we do not respect our leader. he does not properly represent our people. i really really really hope obama is elected as well. our country needs it, and it is also imperative for our relations across this world. but i believe obama represents the people of this country so much more accurately.

I don’t like Bush’s policies, but since he is Commander In Chief, I think he is owed more respect than he gets. And I certainly don’t think that we should hate him because of his policies. Don’t liberals preach tolerance and respect towards those of all different stripes? Or is it just toward liberals of different stripes?
No, I won’t be voting for Obama… Just one reason of many: http://www.newsweek.com/id/160179
Angelique Mose... replied
This picture has nothing to do with Bush. It is a portrait of Obama. and I never said I hated Bush. I do not think he has been a good leader, he has not represented the people of this nation accurately, but I do not hate him. I’m not sure why you wrote this… lashing out at those whose hope lies within the possibilities of this man being elected? I have much tolerance. I also have a son who I would like to see live a grand and exciting life. I would like for him to live in a world that respects our country. I would like for him to stop hearing about our war. We have been at war since he was born. Do you have any idea what that does to a child’s psyche?
The question is… what do we want to be tolerant of? War, neglect of the people, downfall of our nation??? Because, so far, that is exactly what we have been tolerant of. Today I choose to create healing. I choose to actively evoke inspiration and change. Our country needs it. Our earth needs it. We all want the same thing. We just have different opinions of how to bring it about. I love all of mankind. And not only am I tolerant of right wings and republicans, left wings and democrats, I am tolerant of muslims, buddhists, hindus and christians, blacks, whites, asians, mexicans etc. We are all one. We are all connected. We all share this earth. I believe in the power of the human spirit to create unity and healing across this world. And I believe that this man, Barack Obama is the leader capable of beginning that healing as our leader. That is why I did this portrait.
Love,
Angel

thats awesome. i did a fundraiser at the second debate in nashville and people were walking up to me wearing shirts they had made with my image… it was funny and uplifting. the piece has become bigger than me it seems… and that was my intention. To help him win.
