Named after the red weed in “War of the Worlds” by H.G.Wells.

A slightly different location to A Fine Spiral using Gaussian Integer (ceiling) maximum angle.

Created using mars and expanded phobos (see my public profile).

I’m a software engineer and I’ve been interested in the artists possibilities of fractals since about 1987. It wasn’t until 2010 that I started producing very high resolution pictures using my own software.

The power of colour… this is gorgeous, needless to say – I love the colours!

  • Thankyou. The colour map (or gradient) is symmetrical and relatively sparse: white to grey blue merging into red and then back to grey blue and on to white. It works very well where a good contrast is required.
