I am a painter working primarily in oils on canvas, but I also paint furniture which is all recycled. I had my formal training at the PA Academy of Fine Arts, and travel in Europe and Scandinavia where I studied independently.I paint commissioned portraits and paintings, and in my own work, presently, I’m exploring the age and world of my two daughters, ages 9 and 11, and using them as my models. My style is narrative, somewhat stylized, with colors reflecting my love of stained glass and Mexican murals.The painting I do on furniture is done using the same palette, with flowers, leaves, and creatures as subject matter .
