Square/rectangular shapes transposed with circular shapes have been used historically (although perhaps not all that frequently) to symbolize the meeting of built and natural elements.
Original painting is 27" – 35” x 43” – 47" (69 – 89 × 109 – 119 cm) acrylic/mixed water-based media on salvaged hollow-core doors, other building materials, and wine corks.
A lovely piece Eldon, well done! How long did it take you?
Thank you, April. I spent about 6 hours of “carpentry” & other prep; and about 80 – 90 hours actual painting. (That doesn’t count the time it took to drink the 9 bottles of wine to get the corks.)
Comments
