Broken spirit , listen to me

Life is not an easy game

It’s not in the winning

But how you play

I know you’ll put them all to shame

True to the core

Gentle and kind

Who could ask for more

Watch and see who gets the high score

My heart is with you

I feel your pain

Tears run down my cheeks

As I whisper your name

Relax wild warrior, you can’t be tamed.

For those who try

May be easily burned

You’re fragile right now

So many things, your life long yearns

Will be yours’ you’re strong, and strength is eternal

And all those dreams, you have earned

Wrote this in response to a conversation I had with my grandson who has moved 3000 miles from me, and I felt in his voice he felt alone, and didn’t have what he needed to comfort him. I just wanted him
to know all things are possible if you don’t give up
or give in.
