Talking to native people there I´ve always asked them why even during the winter they wear sandals and not normal shoes… It´s in their tradition and I´m sure they even feel more comfortable with sandals than with shoes ! At the end wearing shoes is normality and comfort in our western society.. Somewhere else they may think differently ! I´m sure the little boy has his own pair of sandals..he probably took them off because is a little boy !

Oh right!! Thankyou for the info…. not being exposed to it – I just thought of poverty as opposed to choice :).... well that’s fair enough then – Loved not wearing shoes myself as a kid (i was a tomboy! ).. lol…
