It is unbealivable how you can still see this on the streets of big rich countries. In this case, in the “Capital of the World”, New York City.

This is Riverside Park, right in front of my house. This is a very wealthy area. Noone gave this guy anything.

To me, he is like looking forward. The park is quite empty. He is like saying, Oh God, I´m really lonely; well I have my dog, but indeed I have a long road ahead!!

Extremely sad!! This shouldn´t happen anywhere!

This is one powerful picture, it is very sad to see this daily everywhere in the world. Some people just dont care thats why noone gave him anything. I wouldve given him something if I were there. Whoever he is I pray that the road ahead for him is good. Thank you for sharing this

  • I agee with you Carlie. I gave him food. There was a hot dog vendor a block away, and $10 cash. But I didn’t think it was appropiate to say it on the description.
By the way, we never know what happened, how they got there. I did what I did, because regardless of what happened, he was about 70 years old!!! If he has been a guy between 30 and 45 (+/-) I might have not given him the cash.
Thanks for your comment and for the favs!!!

Very. very sad. To think that I am seeing more and more of these photos here every day. It is really becoming very sad to see how this is community is growing. Before it was just the alcoholics, the drug addicts, the mentally impaired, but now it is the ex business man, the man or woman who got fired and now doesn’t have the money to pay the rent. Today it’s them, and tomorrow it might be a brother, a son, a daughter you or I.

  • It is extremely sad, indeed!! You right, it might happen to anyone. Thanks Happyfeet!!
