Red Goshawk
Red Goshawks (Erythrotriorchis radiatus) are Australia’s most elusive bird of prey (well at least I saw a Grey Falcon before I saw a Red Goshawk!). Living in the tropical north of Australia they are one of two ‘weird’ Australian raptors with little in common with other BOPs and are not Goshawks (genus Accipiter) at all. This young bird was photographed near a well known nest site near Mataranka, Northern Territory, Australia. Red Goshawks are considered Vulnerable by the IUCN because of their small population size.

Red Goshawk belongs to the following groups:
Birds and Creatures of Flight, Birds Of Prey (3 per day), Endangered Species and The Birds Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints
