I am an ecologist and bird watcher who always takes his camera into the field. Most of my photos are therefore of birds, but they are also of the other animals that I see and places that I go. All of the animals in my photos are wild animals (except for the occassional people in the photos, who are quite tame!).
I use the bird-watcher’s favourite equipment: a Canon EOS 20D (or whatever the new model is) with a 100-400mm IS, USM lens, which means I can operate without a tripod. I open up the aperture as far as I can and see what happens!
