Cool pic, Elana…..
Weird looking thing, isn’t it?
Looks like one of those gas cookers you take camping…....
but a tad larger, I suspect!!
Elana Bailey replied
That’s exactly what I thought that it looked like, David. Many thanks very much.

Reminds me of the lighthouse at Vivonne Bay. Sepia work wonders in this photo especially with the sky and rust marks on the Lighthouse.
Amazing work.

Elana Bailey replied
Andrew, it is one in the same. Point Helen is just a bit on from the Vivonne Bay Jetty. Many thanks very much.

That’s not a lighthouse, its a discarded soda siphon. Do you get Fraggle Rock where you are?
Sky’s neat though. What happens when a seagull poos on the solar panel? Think you’re making these shots up now E. :)
Elana Bailey replied
John….you crack me up. I have heard of Fraggle Rock, but not seen it in 100 years….it does look like a discarded soda siphon…lol…Didn’t think about the affect of the poo on the solar panel. I presume it is someone’s job to clean it off?? Many thanks, John.

‘poo on the solar panel. I presume it is someone’s job to clean it off??’
Me!, Me! I could do that job! I could be a panel poo technician, a solar-sh*t operative. Where do I apply? Anything is better than the slow brain-death I’m experiencing now. Gizza-job.
Elana Bailey replied
John, you crack me up….PPT or a SSO…..things still all very quiet on that front? So sorry to hear that. Hope you have a good weekend and don’t forget it is Valentine’s Day tomorrow! E
Vicki Ferrari
I agree with John on this! A discarded soda siphon is certainly looks like! I wonder what it looked like BEFORE it was solar? Still like a discarded soda bottle, without the lever?! Wonderful sepia Elana and creativity plus!
Elana Bailey replied
Yes, I agree with you and John. Many thanks so much, Vicki.

Love it.
Very atmospheric shot with the toning and vignetting. Really gives you an idea of what this little beacon has to withstand come rain or shine.
Elana Bailey replied
Very well put. Many thanks indeed, cheers Elana.
