Currently I am an artist living in Honolulu. Originally I am from California and have traveled throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. I think living in and visiting different countries forces us to see the world from a different perspective. Even though I think of myself as a traditional artist, painting mostly in oils and watercolors, I like to experiment with different techniques and art forms, including calligraphy… which I have as yet to incorporate into my paintings. I greatly admire Leonardo da Vinci… his work is sublime. Lastly, I think art should be original and hand-crafted, not reproduced endlessly by machines. We just don’t need anymore of that mass-produced stuff they hawk at flea markets and Costco.

Silvery veils / In meditative repose / Lift. Worlds unseen, seen.
All encounters bear / Traces of sorrow, destined / To end in parting.
Wandering through rain / Familiar paths recall / Quiet walks time lost.
My obverse I found / Fate mistakenly denied. / Return, release me.
The world falls away / Time unnoticed, forgotten / Spent in whispered love
To tenderly hold / Hands withdrawn in modesty / Such would be heaven.
