In the wet forest of Olympic National Park, Washington, USA., green moss looks like carpet growing on fallen trees and branches. Autumn leaves flake away through the winter, leaving their denser veins and reminding me so much of lace on a carpet.
My camera is a Panasonic LUMIX FH27 digital
The camera setting I used here is Intelligent Auto

I enthusiastically love playing with art, exploring new mediums and new things with old mediums! Started when I could hold a pencil and am still going.

I agree with canonman – it is like looking down from a plane window – the veins look like roads winding their way through a forest. Beautiful image, Elaine

Love the play of light, here. Care to share the camera’s approximate distance from the moss in this shot? The varieties of green are mangificientnessly, fantastamuchobueno. (I’ll get the hang of it one day! hehe!)

  • ♥ WOW!!! Such a awesome compliment , thank you very, very much! Remembering about .17 ft on the camera with Intelligent Auto focus. There is very little light on the forest floor here. My point and shoot works great in this situation where the virgin forest is so thick ♥ :)
