Touched by the morning rain

Rhododendrons are the Washington state flower. Rhododendrons bloom in a variety of colors and they are widly cultivated in the Northwest. Some species grow in the wild. Azaleas differ from rhododendrons in being generally smaller and having one blossom per stem rather than blossom clusters. This flower photo was captured on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, USA

I enthusiastically love playing with art, exploring new mediums and new things with old mediums! Started when I could hold a pencil and am still going.

How lovely – I don’t think they grow here as it is too cold in the winter. I remember them huge bushes of them in England

  • They grow so easily in the Northwest USA where it rains a lot and the soil is acid. We too get abundant snow and cold freezing temperatures in the winter. Thank you very, very much Shulie for your wonderful compliment :)))
