Artist's Description

This tiny red eyed tree frog about to have his dinner on a rhododendron! This frog is barely one inch long and is bright green! This meal is about to take place on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, USA. “Rhodies” are the Washington state flower and pacific tree frogs are the state frog! Rhododendrons bloom in a wide variety of colors and is widely cultivated in the Northwest. Some species grow wild. Azaleas differ from rhododendrons in being generally smaller and having one blossom per stem rather than blossom clusters.
