It’s a photo of my Dad in the 70s taken by my mother who was dabbling in photograpy. It was taken just after my Dad got back to Australia from living in the kabutz in Israel for a year, which really affected him. I found the photo lost at the bottom of a cardboard box in the garage.
The two Siamese cats were bred by my mother and named after my Dad’s parents, Raymond and Alberta. But the poor little things got run over one day after visiting their namesakes on their farm in Moorooduc.
It’s such a great photo though, very gentle, as you say Shaz. It shows a part of my Dad that not many people got to see. He passed away three and a half years ago, and this is a great photo to have of him.
