Sutter Buttes
This is the South Butte, which reaches 2,130 feet above sea level. The buttes hold the title of being the world’s smallest mountain range. It is located in the Northern part of California and very close to Beale Air Force Base. You can see them from anywhere on the base. This is just one of the mountains. They are small circular eroded volcanic lava domes. It has to be one of the neatest things I have seen bacause the land around it is very flat, so it makes it look like someone just stuck them there.
