This was the highlight of our last family vacation. Another proof that God is good to me. Coming back from a hike in the Weminuche Wilderness, I had this voice in my head, that I should keep the camera on my lap while driving. So I did, and after coming out of a curve further down the road towards Pagosa Springs, there’s a bear running across the road. That moment went by fast, and no chance to capture her, before she was gone in the forest. My husband spotted one bear cub on his side of the road, so I backed up, turned off the engine, and managed to fire off this shot, before the cub, too, had disappeared into the vegetation. Moments later, I got to see the two cubs running across the road towards momma. This was really brown, as its mother, but the other one was completely black, and seemed much smaller.
