Probably just a surprise for me, not for him. I was walking around in the snowy landscape, watching where I put my feet and also looking high up in the trees. This great Horned Owl was just a little higher than eye level. He didn’t feel too comfortable with that, so he left very soon. I got a couple of frames of him. Nice light in the shadow with the light reflected in the snow.

Gorgeous, I’m SO envious, it’s a lovely shot!

  • Thank you! One of my own favorites. Shot in the middle of the day, but in the shade, with snow reflecting the light.
