Mouse dinner

Mouse dinner

I was pretty impressed by this little mouse’s ability to balance on top of the sunflower, which is almost 5 feet tall.
I had one of his friends in my house for a while, but managed to catch it and re-locate it. They are kind of cute, but just when they’re outside.

Thank you, Bunny! I really hope they’ll stay outside. It’s snowing now, so I guess they’re cold.

    Where´s the cat? Excellent shot!

  • Eivor Kuchta replied

Yeah, where is it? I did wish we had cats while the mouse was inside.

Excellent image and I suspect patience in trying to catch the right moment!

  • Eivor Kuchta replied

Thank you, JD! Yes, it was a little tricky. The light was low in the evening, and I didn’t want to take the tripod, afraid of scaring away the mouse.

Great Capture of Pee Wee Vermin. Now I know whose been nibbling on my sunflowers. Just kidding. They’re too busy feasting on Chicken feed and Rabbit Feed to climb the withered stalks of sunflowers. Nice image.

  • Eivor Kuchta replied

Thank you, Alex! This one must have been really hungry, or maybe those seeds were extra delicious. I accidentally scared him a couple of times, but he kept coming back up.

Nice shot!.How did you manage to photo it without it running away.

  • Eivor Kuchta replied

Thank you, Ron! I did run away a couple of times, but came back, and so did I. They have been used to us being around on the patio, where they could find leftovers from the bird feeders.

Ever you have a minor mouse visit ;leave some water and rice somewhere protected for them to eat for a while then they’ll move on,rather than relocate them too far.Well captured,i like it.G.

  • Eivor Kuchta replied

Thank you! The one that was relocated was one that had been in the house. I’ve heard they tend to come back in if you just put them outside.

That’s the kicker, “they are kind of cute, but just when they’re outside”! We’ve had a couple of these little visitors in our home as well. In my cupboard where I keep the pots and pans, and in our mudroom where we keep our pantry, laundry room, dog food, freezer, coats etc.. I wasn’t as nice as you. . . I caught it in a mouse trap and then deposited it in the garbage! I’m fine with how cute they look, (I did take pictures), as long as they stay where they belong. . .outside! Wonderful photo of this darling balancing act!

  • Eivor Kuchta replied

Thank you! I totally agree, they are cute – outside!
