Take off

Canadian geese taking off in the morning from Prospect Lake, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. I used my 70-300 lens for this capture, so they look like they’re really close. I also added some dry brush in PSE 3.

Excellent, we have plenty geese in my area and I can never get s shot like this !

Thank you, Curtiss! The lake where I took this was almost totally covered with geese when I arrived. Then they started to take off in groups. I’ve been back after this to try and get more, similar shots, without success. Everything was right that morning.

Thank you, Dave! There was a bit of luck involved in this capture. Everything happened to be right in that moment. I was panning while they were flying, and I am so thankful they happened to be positioned as they were.

Hi Eivor! This shot is just wonderful!! I love it!!!!! I shot Canadian geese a lot when I lived in CO, as they were EVERYWHERE!!! ...and so was what they left behind!
