Winters Grand Entrance

Blanketing the soil
Deciduous trees retire,
Starved from summer’s heat.

Weathered leaves spiral
Fluidly towards the ground,
Preparing new soil

A soft moist air blows,
It’s whispering to nature
Winters lullaby.

Artist's Description

3 Haiku’s that represent Autumn’s end for me. I was sitting in the botanic gardens in Adelaide and I had these 80 year old trees surround me with falling leaves falling like rain. Just beautiful and inspiring.
