Adrift,
and my lines are cut
and frayed.
I’ve fallen in the rift
and feel betrayed.
My best laid plans
are beaten
by this broken mind,
and I cannot find
a way to sift
the gold out from the grind,
to find my gift
and give it play,
and pay it out,
a lifeline for a lift
above this bind,
and I am left
to lose myself,
entwined within the mist
that leaves me blind.
To, blindly floating,
raise my fist
and curse the gods
that I know not,
but that they let me drift,
and, drifting, leave me
undefined…

    Gary,

    i understand a broken mind
and not being able to find a way to sift
the gold out from the grind

    it is an isolated place
    quicksand

thank you again, for having the courage
    to rip yourself open
and bleed across these virtual pages

    jaeda :)
