This year sees the one hundredth anniversary of the first publication of an infrared photograph, and this is being recognised by a number of exhibitions, though it all seems to be very low key with little publicity (at least in the UK).
One useful site is the Infrared 100 blog , the blogger of which recently contacted me to ask if I would loan a copy of one of my prints, Puff, the Magic Dragon from a photograph taken in the Lake District, for an exhibition in the Royal Photographic Society’s headquarters (in Bath, UK) this October. Of course, I was happy to say yes, and a print has now been sent to them :)
