European barn owl
As for the European eagle Owl, this barn owl was brought to the Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital for a display at one of their open days. (The wildlife hospital is located in the county of Cheshire in England). I help out at Lower Moss Wood from time time, and host and manage their website.
One third of any profits from this image will be donated to the Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital
In addition one third will be donated to Raptor Rescue , this being the preferred charity of the owner of the bird.

No, not likely to be set free as far too used to humans now.
The aim of the Lower Moss Wood Hospital is that the vast majority of birds and other animals are released into the wild, but it isn’t always possible. Some are too injured to be released (or are in care so long that when recovered they’ve got used to humans). Some are pets that the owners are for some reason no longer able to care for (releasing a three foot long iguana into the wild in Cheshire wouldn’t be too kind!) – usually pets get rehomed but not always (I think the hospital acts as an adoption agency at times!)
