Metal Grasshopper
My mom told me to upload some of my other work that’s not on here yet (but is on my DA gallery), so who am I to say no to that? =P
This is a bit weird maybe, but it’s an illustration done for school. Our assignment was to take a real insect (we were given dead ones) and turn it into something that would be half mechanical. I have to say this was a real challenge for me, as I’ve never really drawn anything mechanic before (I can’t even draw a car or bike or anything like that). =P
But yeah, this is the result, which I’m fairly happy about. All done in coloured pencils on paper.

Also, you lie! It isn’t that you can’t draw “a car or bike or anything like that”, you simply haven’t really tried. I’m sure if you wanted to you could draw anything.

Heheh.. im giggling at the idea of him wearing slippers! This is really cool, it looks like he’s poised, just waiting, and you can sense cogs turning in him ready to ‘pop’! The shadow is great too, well done :)

This is brilliant Ine. It must have been a very interesting assignment and one you rose to excellently. This would go well in the sci-fi group as an alien life-form. You have a lot of talent for your age and I’m sure your dream will come about to be a book illustrator.
