My inspiration to translate this image into a traditional painting lies mainly in the way the photographer caught, the light in the landscape and the way the shadows of the trees demarcates & acentuates the foreground & background.
This also brings me to spirals, which are symbolic for depicting, creativity, rejuvenation, and expansion. Landscapes, represent a large part of nature and symbolically, the spirals that fill this landscape, reflect the constant rebirth of life, expansion of boundaries, and the constant rejuvenation of living things. So unique and important that, without their seen and unseen existence, a landscape would be as barren as the… hmmm – the moon! :)
