My instant take on this lovely painting by Sue was that of a massive body of rock which to me represented a major landmark, a store house of history, a tower of strenght, & a thing of pride to the people of Froggatt.

I attempted to translate this with a highly texturized surface while staying true to Sue’s original painting in terms of form, composition and, color which, I rendered in different hues & tones from Sue’s
