Tram Driver & his Beard - Bendigo Vic. Australia by

One of the tram drivers at Bendigo when we took a day tour. We all want to smooth his beard.

Looks like an interesting fellow, Shirley! Bet he had lots to say! Well captured!

  • He certainly didn’t mind posing but he was on another tram and they go to a turntable and return along the same route and the driver changes ends…Our driver was waiting for the turntable. They are mostly for tourists…Nice Happy Chappy…Thanks Lynn for coming by. Shirley

Great capture Shirley ~ he looks an interesting fellow ~ and probably very proud of those whiskers!

  • Thank you Susie, he would look like anyone else I think without the beard…I love him when I saw that beard, not many around these days. Shirley

A great character shot! I often wonder what lurks beneath the whiskers. Michael got a bad case of shingles in the 1980’s and had to grow a beard, as he could not bear to shave. He looked terrible and it was very difficult to get him to shave it off, even when the shingles had fully healed as certain females kept telling him that it looked “most distinguished” in order to bolster his ego. Fortunately my two sisters-in-law told him the truth, when we went to Wales to visit and I got my clean shaven husband back again.

  • Kathryn, thank you for your lovely comment, the beard is a draw-card, Glad you liked it but not for your hubby… I like beards and not a lot around these days like this one. Hugs, Shirley
