The littlelist of things spark it,
while insecurity fuels it.
Becareful with me,
for if given the chance I’ll use it.
At first I had no right to care,
as if I could choose it.
Now the fact that I know,
is enough to make me lose it.
Lose you, lose this,
cut it quick and watch it starve.
Why come at all,
to only come this far?
I’ll kill myself through comparison,
I’ll sicken myself through greed.
I’ll throw away my smile,
to give you what you need,…
but I may never be able to give you what you want.
In a nutshell, we all want what we cannot have, and when we do get it, in those rare instances, we realize we cannot afford to feed the puppy we “needed”. Of course I’m not really talking about a puppy, but I think we all already knew that. (-:
A tragic look at getting what you want.
