She didn’t struggle when I pulled her out of the web
for the knew she didn’t have long to live.
Her beauty had long faded and her wings were torn, her body weak.
I held her ever so gently as I carefully pulled the sticky threads from her fragile body.
The warmth of the sun caressed her wings and a gentle breeze lifted her up, for a brief moment she
circled in front of me and then disappeared into the blue yonder. Tears welled up in my eyes.
She had saved her last dance for me …
