My rescued girls, Daisy and Rosie doing their thing to save chicken-kind!
All my hens have been rescued from cage hell. When hens stop laying they are worthless and sold off to the pet food industry. What a horrifying thought that my gorgeous girls would have ended up minced and in a can had I not rescued them! It breaks my heart to think of all the others I cannot rescue. They have such wonderful personalities and make gorgeous pets.

they are gorgeous… btw… I was at my broter’s christmas diner and as usual, he prepared a meal I use to love before I was vegetarian… I was worried about the temptation… a lot (I’m vegeterian since last marsh only). I brought my salad, my vege-pate and my organic crackers without gluten. finaly, I was proud of myself cause it was not that hard for me. temptation didn’t get me! lol
Oh well done. So glad you didn’t succumb. There are so many cruelty-free food choices out there. I also should be GF, but I find this the hardest of all to stick to.
