Malham Cove
A short walk from the Yorkshire dales village of Malham brings you to Malham Cove.Entering the valley you are greeted with the magnificent view of Malham Cove which is a curved crag of carboniferous limestone formed after the last ice age.
The crag stands at 80 metres high and stretches 300 metres wide.A walk takes you over the top of the cove and continues back to the village or can be extended to take in Gordale Scar and a fascinating water fall called Janet’s Foss.
From the top of the cove there are excellent views across the valley below where the stream called Malham Beck can be seen snaking its way along the valley below.
