From the beautiful valley of Great Langdale a single track road takes you over the hills into Little Langdale, a small hamlet of houses and a pub.On the way one passes the picturesque Blea Tarn which nestles in a valley at an altitude 700 ft The ice on the left of the Tarn had just melted sufficiently to allow this beautiful reflection of the surrounding mountains. This view across the tarn shows Side Pike to the right and in the distance Pavey Ark – Harrison Stickle and Pike o’ Stickle
Stunning! Know this area well, in fact I was staying in Great Langdale just a couple of weeks ago. We had a dusting of snow and had to abandon our scramble up Jake’s Rake on Pavey Ark as I got scared! Your gallery of pictures is beautiful :o)
