I have always enjoyed photography.I have no idea why it is just something that appealed to me many years ago.
After working in the electrical industry for longer than I want to remember I opened my own portrait and wedding photography studio in the south of England.I had never had an interest in landscapes until we visited the north of England and caught the bug there.Eventually I managed to retire early and moved north in late 2005.Southerners thought I was mad but until you experience the beauty of the north of England one cannot appreciate it.So with initially my Nikon D100 I spent a lot of time walking and photographing mainly in Cumbria.I recently upgraded to the Nikon D200 and have just had a holiday in Scotland enjoying the wonderful scenery on the west coast so much so another trip is planned in September.
