Spent 9 years as a part-time professional Photographer but now reverted to it only as a hobby. Married to Josephine who is the my better half (in all respects) with one 23-year-old daughter who works as a professional primary teacher. I am blessed with these two women in my life whose constant support and close contact makes most of my days.

My interest in photography began in 1961 when I started to accompany my father and his friends from the local photographic society on regular field trips and photographic competitions. My first camera was a 6 × 6 twin-lens reflex (which had seen many rainy days around my dad’s neck). The real dive into the medium began when Pop’s gave me a Zenith B film SLR with a helios f2 lens at the age of 17. From then-on I started developing my own 35mm roll film and printing B/W prints in a make-shift dark-room coached by Francis Xavier (dad) who was our walking encyclopaedia for the hobby as well as the character-formation champion for me and my brothers and sister.

I mostly use Nikon and Canon APSC equipment and Olympus/Zuiko 4/3rds System plus Sigma DP1 and DP2 as well as Sony Nex

My definition of Monochrome Photography is ‘’Painting with Light’’.
