Ashcroft Hotel

This hotel is part of the Ashcroft ghost town near Aspen, Colorado. A group that does not want to see the town disappear has taken it upon themselves to raise money to restore it. The town sits in a beautiful valley surrounded by aspen groves. I took this image on the day that the colors peaked, and in this particular year the aspen trees had a lot of red in them. They looked like torches. It was breathtaking.

    This is a great image ecles and would be a good image to enter in our latest challenge for the goldrush and ghost towns group. Just need add some text to it to make it a winners banner to be used to congratulate the winner of this and future challenges.
