This is Purdy, my nearly 14 year old BFF. I know realistically that she won’t be with me much longer, and though my head tells me she has lived a long and happy life, my heart is still sad that there will be a time in the not so distant future when I won’t wake up to dog breath in my face, and a cold nose nuzzling my cheek. I wanted a picture in this stage of her life with her eyes wise and her muzzle grey because she has aged gracefully…and beautifully. She reminds me everyday that love has no boundaries.
seeing this reminded me of my Reble another faithful bulldog of mine he passed after 8 years and kidney failure I sat in the floor at the vets and held him and cried like crazy I miss him and also have pics of him
Purdy is a bit timid around the camera …always has been , so I don;t have many " nice’ pics of her. She ws staring up adoringly at my husband her, and din’t notice me sneaking up to take the shot .
When it’s time for her to leave me there will be a HUGE hole in my heart . She is just an amazing companion.
Beautiful old dog and such a wonderful text to go with it. Have a gentle old lady myself here and I am just so in love with that calm and wise element in her. Old dogs are the best.
