Crying child by Emily Button

Crying child by

Inspired by a photographer named Jill Greenberg, I drew this portrait of a little boy balling his eyes out. I used charcoal on cartridge paper, and it is one of my back up pieces for my year 12 prac final.

What a great drawing. Charcoal is quite hard to manipulate to create fine details as in the hands and teeth. You have also captured a real sense of the emotion taking place which is also fairly hard to do from a photograph. Well done!
