Point & Shoot Volume One by Enrico Bettesworth

Posted on September 16, 2008

On a recent weekend getaway to Sydney I left my 5D at home and instead brought along my little Canon 970IS compact digital camera. I managed to get a handful of shots I was happy with. It reminded me that photography is all about ‘seeing’ and that a great image can be captured by any type of camera. It’s just a matter of working within the limitations to get a result you are happy with.

This has inspired me to publish a series or volume of images captured only with my point and shoot camera. I hope you enjoy!

Wonderful stuff – a different take for you love the chairs and flag/man in particular.

Very Kool! Quality of equipment can help make what you see a reality… but the seeing comes first!

Thanks Chroma… Agreed! I guess at the end of the day i’d rather see a good photo taken with a crap camera than a technically perfect photo taken with say a Canon 1Ds MkIII. In saying that my 5D with L glass sure brings an element of quality to my vision :D
