Hide Away by

*This is the inside of a very large man-made tree (constructed of recycled or renewable materials) that was displayed at an art show in Omaha. The artist allowed me to crawl through it to linger for a bit and take some photos. It was very generous of him to do that. He explained to me that he envisions these tree structures to be used around town as shelters for the homeless. Beautifully constructed, wonderful to look at, and a shelter from the elements for those that need it.

Study it for a while and you’ll notice each branch crafted to overlap each other. On the outside, it looks amazingly like a large tree with flowing limbs. It felt like a little cocoon, but it was very roomy inside.*

Not so easy to get a good shot of the inside I guess! Very well done, maybe the artist can sell this to other countries as well!

  • I’m not sure if he’s thought globally. It would be great! Thanks for the comment!

A very interesting structure, and I feel it would be lovely if they were to become plentiful, to provide refuge for those in need. Congratulations on your feature.

  • Thank you so much. I was surprised to get the honor!

And more than just a refuge… it’s a beautiful piece of art on its own!

Really love seeing great shots of sights I am unlikely to be able to experience for myself. Thanks

I love this shot, very awesome angles!

  • Thanks! It is a personal favorite of mine because of the intention behind the “tree”. Thanks for the fave!
