I Kept My Renditions of You on the Wall
...where holiday romance is nothing at all.
Wow, so melancholy for a valentine’s day offering!
I’m happily in love, though, I promise!
This is a photograph of when I visited my Mother back in Oregon. It started raining, so we picked some of her gladiolas and brought them inside before they were bent over and the beauty was ruined. Mom held the long stem as I photographed it with the light of her window on some black cloth she found. Mom is a good helper!

Lovely…I like the angle and the color is gorgeous.

Thank you so kindly for the comment! The stem was so long on this gladiola that my Mother had to hold it while I was taking several photos. We had brought it inside from a sudden rain burst.

beautiful! sharp as a tack, well placed subject for a great angle and comp. but the color – it’s just the BEST! (i have a terrible time trying to capture reds, & this shot is perfect!)

Thank you very much for the wonderful comment! Reds are very hard to get properly, I would agree. I lucked out on this one!

This is beautiful, love the lighting
Ebbers replied
Thank you! The only lighting I had was the natural overcast lighting coming in from the bay window. I set the flower on the ledge with the black cloth and it all worked out!
