I love my dad and big brother. I picked up pen and pad and set off to tell my family story to show others how great my dad and brother truly are.

We do not mind, we all do
Before I was born he sent him to war
It was a hard thing for them both
They were very close and
The best of friends
My big brother was captured
But that was part of the plan
We had family that needed to be
Rescued as well as securing
A future for us all
brother was tortured and mocked
And spit on; handfuls of hair
Were ripped from its roots
My big brother would not bend
Even when he was brutally beat
They called him a coward
They said he came to rescue
Others but could not help himself
None of this fazed him
Because he was on a mission
After he was captured they
Quickly and illegally expedited
His death sentence
I don’t think you know how much
My Dad hurt that day
It was a dark day filled with pain
And grief that would not be
Comforted
My dad held his peace
I thought he would round up
The family and revenge big brother’s
Death and take back our captive
But he didn’t he just sat there
With his face turned away
In what looked like pure disgust
What I later found out is that dad
Had His Holy Spirit ready to wake
My brother and my big brother
Set things straight right away
Because death could not hold Him
He freed all our family members
And has equipped us to free our
Sisters and brothers today while He
Goes and prepare a special place
For us at home
