The Heart's Song

This poem was created after my surgery in August 1999.

The Heart's Song belongs to the following groups:

Everyday Life, Live, Love, Dream, Living Christianity and Religious Art & Photography

I was stripped, things were taken
My heart ripped, foundation shaken
Alone each night in shock and fear
Trusted GOD’s light, knew he was near
I said “Lord touch the surgeon’s hands”
My momma clutched the bedside stand
I awoke to smiles of pain and relief
GOD knows our trials, he knows our grief

Brain surgery was the easy part
My heart’s burglary case now starts
Six years and counting has passed and gone
Pressure was mounting, new trials born
When all along my Savior had it
Enjoying its song, perfecting His gadget
