My Soul's Earthly Pilgramage

We are saved when we accept God’s gift by faith; yet, I believe God uses our earthly journey as a renewing process to better prepare us fro Heaven and to help each other as we get to know God better. This poem represents our soul’s (spirit’s) journey here on earth…growing to be “like Him” our Lord Jesus…and ending when we meet Him face to face.

Oh to lie limp at your feet
As you give my soul food to eat
Anxiously waiting while you lift my head
I lovingly hug on your sculpted legs
Dying thousands of deaths as I behold your face
Quickened a thousand and one by your grace
Finally the unveiling of your new creation
Your eyes reflect a member of your New Nation
