If They Only Knew by EAWilliams

Posted on January 19, 2008

Lord, my heart aches for the inhabitants of this world; there is so much exposure to evil that we have all built up scabs so it won’t hurt as much next time I suppose. Yes – we know there will be a next time, unless you – Father God – see fit to bring us home (and for a lot of people out there – send them home.) How sad, if they only knew how much you love us all – if they only knew – God, I wish they knew… If they only knew, when they fell, they would have jumped up bouncing. If they only knew, when their heart broke, they would have allowed you to fix it with haste. If they only knew, they would have held a spiritual chain around the globe in which, when attacked, we would only wobble but never fall because we’re holding on and helping one another. If they only knew, the Holy Spirit would be the bond that held us all together in that chain. If they only knew, Jesus could whiteout all sins with His blood. If they only knew, you set this plan in motion so that WE WOULD KNOW, because as your word says, “…my people are destroyed for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE…” If they only knew, your word is all we need to know.

Elizabeth, that’s what you are here for…pray for more laborers fore the harvest is ripe.

Lord, be it as you have said, and please Lord, light a fire under us, your people, in which its flames are so fiercely passionate that it inflames all those around us and we all serve you with a fervent diligence. Amen.

My hearts cry for several years now, has been just that only toward todays church in that, why don’t they know? Make no mistake EA, you are a prophetic voice expressing the heart of God! It requires courage to sometimes stand alone in the revelation of His awesome Grace, but you’re not alone amen.

Your words are balm to my soul and a testament that God has campfires strategically placed around this world; there’s about to be an organized combustion! Thank you Martin for posting your passionate comments.

Amen and amen. We do need more workers for the harvest is ripe.
    Thanks for sharing the truth.

  • EAWilliams:

Thanks for standing in agreement katphoto; I appreciate your encouragement. May God bless you…

I also stand in agreement with you EA…that it will begin in the house of God that we will all go back to His Word and know how much He loves us, understand that He shed His blood so that we could go free and live in liberty with Him, if only we will turn to Him. My heart aches for them also. but…we must remember…The prayer of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much!

  • EAWilliams:

Amen Esteele O’Brien! Amen! Thank you, May God bless you.

Christianese take-out has a reputation for causing food poisoning.

  • EAWilliams:

So we must pray for the “Christianese” people and the ones suffering from their food poison while standing in the gap for them both – we can do it; in Christ Jesus we can do all things – Amen!

“They honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.”

  • EAWilliams:

Well brother we must expose them to The Truth…

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE YOU FREE.” John 8:32

“If the Son therefore shall MAKE YOU FREE, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
  • lynauklet

    lynauklet

    What are you talking about?
Man, You are speaking Christianese. No one gets it.
That’s not the way to speak to people in love.

  • EAWilliams:

I apologize lynauklet, I do not wish to offend you in any way. I assure you love is the root of my words. What part of, “So we must pray for the “Christianese” people and the ones suffering from their food poison while standing in the gap for them both – we can do it; in Christ Jesus we can do all things – Amen!” is offensive to you? All I am saying is that we need to pray for each other and step in and help one another out; however, I did state them using your words “Christianese and food poison.”

  • Stanz .

    Stanz .

you’ve just entirely missed the purpose of her argument

  • EAWilliams:

Please, enlighten me…this may be something I need to know.

  • Stanz .

    Stanz .

basically, what she’s saying is that people like yourself speak in ‘christianese’; which is, essentially, hollow speech used by shallow christians. It only distances you from the people you seek to convert

  • EAWilliams:

So my intimate prayer to God is shallow to you two…my heartfelt anguish is shallow to you two? I used the term “us” because I too am a sinner – thankfully under grace. Watching the news one evening I was burdened and sought refuge in Christ. My words are not hollow and my tears were not of joy – but they will be, God has promised me that. I have tried not to offend yet you who do not know me come at me offensively. I will only kiss your forehead with pray that it is you who are not hollow and empty spreading those vacant sentiments to all you greet. God is the head of my life and I am doing the best that I can – which is what He asks of me. When I fall short I repent; I am no bette then anyone else – in fact – I’m sure I’m far worse. However there is one thing that I am sure about, those who need to understand my writings do understand them. God has many different people and he uses them and their God-given gifts as He intended. I will not “act” like someone else to “get” more people. I just do what I am told – He does the rest.

  • Stanz .

    Stanz .

An ‘intimate prayer’? Why then, are you pasting this on the internet?

I have no grounds on which to judge you besides what you have written. If I may use the cliché, ‘what would Jesus do?’, we would see that he put down the pharisees for their long, eloquent addresses, and instead sought solitary solace in quiet prayer. Sure, we all have our days when we need to shout things from the tops of mountains… but then, God was in the whisper, not the wind.

  • EAWilliams:

The reason why I posted this prayer is because I was prompted to write it down and I wanted to share this with my sisters and brothers in Christ because when two or three is gathered in His name He would be in the midst – and where Jesus is – there is victory. I do not write down my prayers as a habit – I may have four or five written.

I really didn’t think this was a long or eloquent prayer. Normally I am to myself – and prefer it so much that I force my self to go out. The fact that when I write, I write boldly only assures me that it is God being bold in and through me. The more I am with God the less He whispers; one day – on this side of eternity – I will hear Him audibly – I just know it! Thank you for your comments – I appreciate them and the self-examination they caused; whenever I receive criticism I try my best to step back and examine. I don’t think I am shallow at all, however – I will mention in my next prayer.

EA.. all I can say is you truly are filled with God’s love and have true patience. Remember, ‘The dark can never understand the light’, and to those who hear the Word but refuse to listen.. we must wipe the dust from our shoes and walk away. Have faith that in Christ’s name, their hearts will be opened to the Truth.

  • EAWilliams:

Thank you All4Luv0078 for your kind words of support. I have prayed and will continue to pray for them and I appreciate your standing with me in prayer – we two and the Holy Spirit – three – have drawn Jesus in the midst. It was not by chance they came across this poem…

May GOD continue to bless you!

it is a bit weird to speak to poeple like that, isn’t it?

jesus was on a level with people becasue he spoke to them in everyday language. conservative forces in charge of religion mean our popular bible texts retain that sort of ‘olde worlde style’ thing, lots of thous, and wilsts and the rest of it, you’ve got going on-

quote: ’because I too am a sinner ’.

why don’t you say ‘becasue i’m a sinner too’?

back in the day the chap was harking on in regular english. alright, then ,aramaic. have no doubt.

it would be thouroughly positive if someone updated the bible into everyday language- it would be more accessible to children for a start, and not seem quite so odd.

i think there is a common misconception that reordering the words to make them seem slightly aloof makes the whole text seem more’ righteous’, or something- but it is a misconception- much the same as 500 years ago they still insisted in reading it out in latin for much the same reason. did they not?

  • EAWilliams:

Actually, they do have many versions of the bible available, by choice I choose the King James Version because sometimes things are lost in translations. This is one of the earliest translations in which I can understand. Because I read a lot from the KJV my speech changed – I give you that. Should others hang me with their words and throw darts at me because of it???

Again, my choice – as I read others’ work I appreciate their dialect and differences I don’t hound them for not fitting in the box but applaud them for who they are…however I don’t need applause – nor do I look for it. I am who I am because of God. I was just expressing what happened…

  • mister khan

    mister khan

that’s cool- just noting various comments above, i think the dialect thing causes a prejudical reaction amongst others who maybe don’t read the bible quite as much..and that can’t be a good thing

  • EAWilliams:

When I see that I have offended…I try my best to apologize quickly and explain myself further, miscommunication can wreak havoc if not addressed. I am grateful for every comment, I learn more about the commenter and they learn more about me. Sadly, there are those who don’t comment…well, God knows my heart and I pray they get the message some how…

wow. interesting dialogue going on here. I echo your prayer and understand your heart in sharing even though, yes, it is intimate to you.

I join you in prayer and I want to assist in getting the word out of Christ’s love. He is worthy.

    signed,
    a sinner—the “foremost of them all”. (1 Timothy 1:15)

  • EAWilliams:

Thank you sister Kaylenelise…May God Bless (P.S. I don’t think you’re old enough to be the “foremost of them all”.

Wow EAWilliams, may God continue to bless you and encourage you to share your prayers, there is darkness out there in the world and it seems like only the bad things and things that bring you down are televised and put on the internet- why not prayers?? and I say this in response to what the previous people have said. thank you EAWilliams for posting this prayer, and I stand or most likely kneel beside you and echo this beautiful and heartfelt prayer. You are like the candle that is put on the shelf to shed its light.

  • EAWilliams:

“WE” are like the candle that is put on the shelf to shed its light. Thank you, your words are wonderful words of encouragement that I hold dear and close to my heart.
